the gray friar shades his eyes with a wrinkled hand, the sun shining at him through the late spring foliage. its glint reminds him of his responsibilities to tend the abbey’s garden today, and the breeze that accompanies it wafts around him an aura of honeysuckle and magnolia. he relishes the comfort that the organ has afforded him. its keys, worn by time, assuaged the aches of his weathered fingers as he brought melody to isidore’s word. he resolves to gather some flowers to accompany him on his return to the abbey’s scriptorium. yes, he thinks, the flowers will offer him some nice company, indeed.

dedicated to the keeper of the ancestral sword and the lord of the high fortress.

Thr pacing of this album is nothing short of majestic. Long melodies intertwine with a rhythm section that drives the enchantment forward.
